This week I hosted a debate, made up of scientists discussing the theories of Continental Drift and Stationary Continents. My students took on these rolls, and were split into groups. Each group was assigned a theory to defend, which they did quite splendidly. My students were extremely engaged, enjoying themselves, and creating meaningful learning. I thought this was a fun way to look at a seemingly dry topic for most students. I am definitely going to keep this activity in my bag of tricks.
